  1. In Second Corinthians 7:10, what is the difference between godly sorrow and worldly sorrow?
  2. Why in pictures of Abraham and Moses are they always painted white? They were black people. We were here first before white skinned or red-skinned people.
  3. Who was Enos? Also what is the significance of the last phrase of Genesis 4:26?
  4. Did the writers of the Old and New Testaments know that they were writing Scripture?
  5. In order to honor your father and mother, is it necessary to share in the traditional rites of ancestor worship if such is common in the country in which you live?
  6. Please discuss Colossians 1:15? Did God create Jesus before He created Adam?

November 4 2018 Episode #754

Panelists: Jeff Scott, Mark Lindley, Josh McCrary

#754 – 11/4/2018

  1. Since John was on the island of Patmos when he wrote the book, how did it get to those it was intended?
  2. Did Peter request to be crucified upside down and if so why? Where is this (if it is) found in the Bible?
  3. Is our time to die predetermined (Ecc. 3:2)?
  4. We are in debt pretty bad with hospital bills, home repairs, and car payments as our vehicle was stolen. Where we go to church, they preach on tithing. We are just breaking even and that is if nothing comes up. Should we give what we can or must we give ten percent like our preacher preaches?
  5. I have a problem with eating at “church”. Also during the past eight years our congregation has gone from having meals at church to buying the meat on Christmas and Thanksgiving and they have recently started paying for catered meals. To me buying food for people who have no financial needs is not being a good steward of God’s money.

  1. Taylor – This question regards the congregations who are broadcasting their services live on the internet. 2. Why use 1 Corinthians 6:11 (“ye are washed”) to support the view of baptismal salvation? Is there anything here that says washing means baptism? Isn’t washing just another word for cleansing? Don’t Revelation 1:5 and Revelation 7:14 make it clear that the washing is from Christ’s blood rather than water baptism?
  3. Why are there two genealogies of Jesus Christ?
  4. How is the Christian religion different from all the other world religions?
