3. Please address this statement from a viewer: “Abraham is our type of how baptism works.  He was not circumcised and then declared righteous for his action of getting circumcised.  Rather he believed and was declared to be righteous before God and was then circumcised.  You’ve got it backwards!”

Please address this statement from a viewer: “The statements by Peter in Acts about getting baptized is directed to Jews only . . .The proof of this is in Acts 2:40 where Peter tells them to “save themselves from this evil generation.”  No one can save himself spiritually, but they can save themselves physically by getting baptized in water.  One of the early church historians declared that everyone that was water  baptized was saved from the Roman destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in AD 70.  This is what Peter meant when he told the Jews to save themselves and get water baptized.  This statement does not apply to Gentile or anyone today.”
