1. Other than proselytism, does the Bible indicate anything about God’s standard of judgment for gentiles who lived in the times of the Old Testament? While the law was given to the Jews (the circumcised) through Isaac as God worked to bring the Messiah into the world, do we know any standard given to the Ishmaelites (the uncircumcised). For a Gentile living in the times of the Old Testament was salvation even possible without converting to Judaism?
2. At the beginning of time, God instituted marriage between one man and one woman as the only acceptable sexual relationship. This is restated in Matthew. Why then, did many in the Old Testament have multiple wives and concubines including men of God like David?
3. Why isn’t church on Saturday?
4. Does consciousness vanish at the moment of death?

1. I heard an answer that Heaven and earth would be destroyed and they would no longer exist from 2 Peter 3:10. But 2 Peter 3:13 and Revelation 21:1 say there will be a new Heaven and earth. How is that they will not exist?
2. Are elders allowed to make confessions in the church like ordinary members? If so, should the elder step down afterwards, or should the church remove him? For instance, in a situation where a church elder confesses to a sin, such as verbally insulting and exchanging harsh words with a stranger at a grocery store during a disagreement.
3. Please explain the handwriting that was nailed to the cross?
4. When song leaders frequently choose songs that exclude half of the congregation, such as when only the women sing the verse, and the men are directed to only sing the chorus, or when he arranges the song and directs the bass singers (men) to only sing the fourth verse – and thereby quietly listen to 75% of the song, or the tenors to come in on the third verse, not singing half of it. Does this not violate the principles found in Colossians 3:16 and Ephesians 5:19?
5. Is it wrong to wear a cross as jewelry?

5. Is theistic evolution a Biblical concept?
6. The story of the tower of Babel has always troubled me. What was the terrible sin of the people? Was God afraid that they would succeed and storm heaven (Genesis 11:1-9)?
7. Has history recorded whatever happened to Nicodemus, the Pharisee? Did he ever become a disciple of Jesus Christ? (cf. John 3:1-21).

1. Our preacher was accused of fornication. He was previously divorced and living by himself. He was questioned and admitted his sin. The woman was a member of our congregation. He has asked for discretion in the way it is handled. Should we allow him to stay in the pulpit?
2. Please address this statement: “When I got baptized, it was a funeral. Baptism pictured the burial (Romans 6:4)…So here’s the reason why someone should never be baptized before he or she is saved. It would be like having your funeral and being buried before you die.”
3. What is meant by the term “sound doctrine?” How do I know if my church is preaching sound doctrine?
4. What is the millennial reign? Will it be a literal kingdom?

5. We have often divided people up into the clergy – those who are in full time ministry, and the laity – those who are in the pew. Are these Scriptural designations?

1. In Luke 16:1-9, is Jesus recommending dishonesty to prove a point?
2. What does the term “Messianic Jew” mean?

4. Is the invitation after preaching found anywhere in the Bible? If not, when was this articulated? What if a soul comes forward, what then?
