  1. Is there a difference between a demon and an unclean spirit?

I would like to know if our spirit and soul go to Paradise, when we give up the ghost, as a Christian who had become ill and as a result, were not able to attend church after we became ill?  Do our spirit and soul lay in rest in paradise, until the day of judgement, and until God comes to receive us unto himself?
