4. Who bought the potter’s field and why was it called Aceldama? (Acts 1:18-19; Mt. 27:6-8).
5. Doesn’t the context of Galatians 5:4 indicate that Paul is not speaking of falling away from salvation, but falling from grace by trying to be justified by the law and by works instead of through faith? They thought they were not saved by grace alone, but had to add some law works to it.
6. Is it all right to pray to God for money?

December 7, 2014 Episode #550

Air Dates: #550-12/7/2014
1. Did the wine at the first miracle have alcoholic content, and was fermented wine used at the last supper?
2. Is the forever that people will be in after judgment in existence now?
3. How could Jesus be sinless and commit assault and battery when He cleansed the temple?
4. Recently at our church we have been taking communion on Sunday morning and
again on Sunday night when there are those present that did not get to partake on Sunday morning. The reasoning behind this is that we should all commune together and even though most of us partook on Sunday morning, we should not let those who missed services on Sunday morning have communion by themselves. Is such necessary?

1. What can be done to develop leadership in new congregations?
2. Please discuss the importance of self-discipline in the life of a gospel preacher?
3. How does the Christian scripturally harmonize God’s foreknowledge and human free will? Since God knows the end from the beginning, how do we as members of the Church explain, with supporting scripture, that God’s foreknowledge does not equal God’s arbitrary predestination?
4. If God knows a great number of people are going to make all the wrong choices and be lost eternally (Mt. 7:13-14), why would He even let them be born in the first place?
5. Since Jesus’ death was predestined before the foundation of the world (Acts 2:23; Eph. 1:4-6), did those who crucified the Christ really have any choice in the matter? It was going to happen one way or another. No man can alter a chain of events set in motion by the Almighty Himself.

December 21, 2014 Episode #552

#552- 12/21/2014
1. In Matthew 28:19, the phrase “in the name” is an adverb and tells how the
baptizing was to be done. The object of the phrase is name and is modified by three prepositional phrases, which are “of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” These phrases modifying name point to Jesus as the name in which the baptizing was to be done.
2. If Jesus is the Son of God, why did He call Himself the Son of Man?
3. If a man is selected as a deacon in the church, can he be removed by the elders for giving up the one and only job he was given in the beginning? Isn’t a deacon to help with anything to be done in the church?

December 28, 2014 Episode #553

#553-12/28/2014
1. Do we know when Christ was born?
2. Why do members of the churches of Christ not call their preachers “reverend?”
Is this not a way of expressing respect for their office?
3. Please explain Matthew 10:16. Why did Jesus instruct the disciples to be wise
as serpents and harmless as doves?
4. It is being taught that the Judgement mentioned in Romans 4:10 has nothing to
do with whether or not Christians will remain saved as they are eternally secure in their salvation. Rather, this judgment has to do with the reception or loss of rewards. Please address this.
